Wisconsin Dells

Ask Beth and she'll tell you, "we should have skipped the Dells".  It's not that it's a bad place, it's just that it was the last stop on the trip and everything (well, two major things) went wrong.  After almost 5 weeks and 6000 miles, I finally put a ding in the camper.  Trying to thread into a terrible campsite with a tree on each side of the entrance, I hit one of the trees with top rear corner.  Damage wasn't so bad, nothing to get too upset about, let's forget about it and have some fun, like swimming.  Go down to the pool with the boys and Brandon asks me to do some "cannon balls".  Well the first time I hit the diving board, I realized that it had about as much spring as a concrete slab.  There goes my back.  After a visit to the local emergency room for some pain killers and muscle relaxers, I'm back at the camper.  3 days later, I still can't walk so it's off to the ER again.  This time, they used the "good stuff", an injection.  Back was feeling much better and we decide that the next day, we were heading for home.  Before we left, we had to take one of the "duck tours".  These are the amphibious vehicles that travel over land and water.  It was a cool ride and the kids enjoyed it.

Heading into "the Dells"

This formation is called "Ravens Rock".  If you look closely, you can see the outline of a bird sticking out from the cliff.

The formations are really quite interesting as the water has eroded the stone for thousands of years.
