Watkins Glen We travelled to Watkins Glen for the PCA club race event "Porsche Clash at the Glen". The weather was great on Friday and Saturday up to the close of my sprint race. During the cool-down laps, the sky opened and the rains poured down. It rained so hard that the last two races were postponed until Sunday AM. This resulted in a modified format for Sunday which eliminated practice time and shortened the enduro race from 90 min. to 60 min. It was still a lot of fun through and I managed to squeak out a 5th in the sprints and 4th in the enduro. With an onboard stopwatch, I believe that I would have made the podium for F in 3rd and 5th overall as I believe that I gave up some time on the mandatory 5 min. stop. Since my in-laws were with us for the weekend and I thought that the kids would rather be at the pool, we kept the RV about a mile from the track at a KOA.
It doesn't really show up well here, but the rain was coming down in buckets when I got back to the pits.
