Sebring PCA Club Race

This was the first time I've been to Sebring and the first time Geoff has come to the track with me.  He did very well and enjoyed himself despite being scared to come out of the Motorhome the first morning because of the noise.  Once he was convinced it was safe (we went out during the lunch break), we went out to look around and even took some laps on the track with the Jeep.

I was down in support of the Turbo Performance Team which took the Pole for fastest race group and also won 1st place in GT1s.

In sharp contrast to the previous weekend's weather (24hr. race), it was sunny and HOT (for early Feb.) with temp's on Sunday in the 90's and still 82degrees at 6:30pm when we left the track.  Unfortunately, after 7 days of beautiful sunshine, we had to head home and just 6 hours into the journey brought us back to the rain and cool 40 degrees that we left behind almost two weeks prior.

The Turbo Performance Car on the Pole ahead of the very fast Racer's Group cars.

Geoff playing in the sand - It was disgusting as the sand looked OK, but when you touched it, your hands got completely black.

Another fellow track friend, Tony Nuzzo's GT4s 914.

Green Flag start for the D through G Class racers.  The blue and yellow car is of fellow Potomac racer, Greg Merril (Also my first track instructor).  Greg finished 1st in Class F.

It's parked next to our camper but it's not mine.  It's a restored 930 turbo racecar for sale.

The next three pictures are from the Porsche 906 Chassis #05.  This car was the first Porsche to ever win at Le Mans.  I'd say it's work a few $$.  It was run during practice but did not race.  Wonder why???

Also in the same trailer was this historic Porsche.

I took this photo since Brandon wasn't along and I thought he'd like this one.
