Holiday Rambler Endeavor
We've had so much fun with the last RV that we decided to take a summer trip and live in this one for a month. The primary reasons for upgrading were the tremendous power of the turbo-diesel engine (almost 1000 ft. lbs. of torque) and the superior ride quality that can only be had in a diesel chassis (full air ride suspension). Since most of the race tracks that I race at are several hundred miles away, I really wanted to upgrade the ride quality since sometimes I am towing up to 10 hours one way. In addition, I wanted to be able to eventually tow an enclosed race trailer. With a gas engine, it's possible if you exceed the GCWR (gross combined weight rating) but it's not recommended. The Endeavor has a 10,000lb. hitch and a GCWR of 40,000lbs. (Dry weight of the RV is almost 25,000lbs.). Here's a link to the Holiday Rambler Site www.holidayrambler.com.
