Camping Weekend - 9/29 - 10/1 This past weekend, while Beth was away, I took the boys and my parents up to Warwick Woods, a campground that we visited several times as boys. The weather was beautiful, sunny during the day and cool in the evening for campfires. I'm not sure that the campfire ever got a chance to go out with the boys constantly playing by the fire.
Warwick Woods has really nice, secluded campsites. Just the perfect atmosphere for our RV. Really roughing it!
The campground is adjacent to an active granite quarry. Supposedly, during the week you can feel the blasting. That left lots of rocks for Geoff to climb on.
During our hike, we found this very interesting tree.
On Saturday, we decided to try some fishing at the campground's pond. If you look very closely, you will see that there is actually a fish on the end of the line!
After fishing for several hours (Geoff even fell asleep in the grass - something to do with going to be around midnight), we went on a hayride through the campground.
Saturday evening, the boys did some pumpkin carving with Nana and PopPop.
After all that, PopPop was exhausted. Needless to say, the boys were fast asleep by 8pm on Sat night.
